This site is intended to provide information to people with similar interests to me.

My interest is in radios and technology particularly from Australian but also other countries. I collect communication and electronic related technology from the 19th and early 20th centuries, valve radios from the 1920s and transistor radios up to the mid 1980s.

I began fiddling with valve radios in my early teen years and before that was encouraged by my dad who was a communications officer in the R.A.N.

My enthusiasm for electronics and radio as a hobby lead to an interest in computers when they became available to the consumer market in the early 1980s. I have been involved with computers and computers in education since then.

I am a retired primary school teacher, and am now self-employed managing the information and communication technologies (ICTs) in some Queensland schools.
